About Our Founder – Sharon Lee Cummings

In 1990, as Sharon Lee Cummings was working for a large home builder as a “hostess,” she pioneered the concept of “Trained Sales Assistants,” a program that added an extensive sales training and customer service skills package to the typical responsibilities of a hostess.  Sharon founded SLC, Inc. and continues to lead the company.

SLC, Inc. has grown year after year and is now more than 700% of its original size with six operating units.  Currently representing more than 250 builders, developers and real estate firms, SLC has expanded beyond the home market to offers its services to the government sector as well.  With personnel currently in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, North Carolina, Delaware and the District of Columbia, SLC is now expanding its operations throughout the United States, providing trained sales assistants, call center professionals and a variety of staffing options, both temporary and permanent.

Based on Sharon’s original vision, SLC’s offerings are centered on formalized Customer Relationship Management.  Integrity, professionalism and responsiveness provide the foundation for SLC’s operations, and allow Sharon and her team to design, develop and deliver unique solutions for their customers, both large and small.
